Biodiversity Policy Research Specialist (RISE Internship)
The Lovejoy Center is seeking a policy-minded student to serve as Policy and Biodiversity Research Specialist. This position offers hands-on experience in environmental policy research and analysis while building the Lovejoy Center's institutional capacity for ongoing policy monitoring. The successful candidate will focus on documenting and tracking biodiversity conservation policies affecting the Tucson-Sonoran Desert region, with opportunities to expand into an transnational comparative analysis of the Amazon.
This RISE Internship is a collaboration between the Lovejoy Center and AIR Education Initiatives.

Digital Archives Research Specialist
The Lovejoy Center is seeking a meticulous and research-oriented undergraduate student to serve as Digital Archives Research Specialist. This position offers a unique opportunity to conduct comprehensive archival research on prominent conservation biologist Thomas Lovejoy, documenting his contributions to environmental science and his connections to the Lovejoy Center's mission. The successful candidate will develop essential research skills while contributing to the preservation of important scientific and institutional history. This position will collaborate with the Communication Specialist to identify storytelling opportunities for social media, website, and newsletter channels.

Communications Specialist
The Lovejoy Center is seeking a creative and strategic undergraduate student to serve as Communications Specialist. This position is ideal for students interested in social media strategy, nonprofit communications, and cross-team collaboration. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies across multiple platforms to enhance the Lovejoy Center's visibility and engagement. In addition to independent work, this position will collaborate with all center staff to highlight a variety of content, from policy memos to archival photos and more.
