Jacob Pirosko
Biodiversity Policy Research Specialist
Jacob Pirosko is a University of Arizona student majoring in History and Global Studies with a deep commitment to public service, global engagement, and environmental stewardship. He has assisted constituents in Senator Mark Kelly’s office, supported refugee economic integration at the International Rescue Committee, and worked on ecological projects in Southern Oregon focused on invasive species management. His global perspective broadened further while studying abroad at Monash University in Melbourne, where he delved into foreign policy. Outside the classroom, Jacob loves swimming, surfing, tennis, and finding meaningful ways to give back to his community. He is excited to join the Lovejoy Center, where he can bring together his passion for people, animals, and ecosystems through impactful biodiversity policy research.
