Amy Smith is a current junior at the University of Arizona majoring in Information Science with a minor in Journalism. A Tucson native and avid national park enthusiast, she has always been passionate about conservation, environmental research, and sustainability. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that be hiking or exploring new places, along with reading and trying new foods in Tucson. Through her position with the Lovejoy Center, Amy hopes to bridge the connection between environmentalism, data, and technology in a creative and impactful way. She is excited to be a new member of the Lovejoy community, where she can help bring awareness to biodiversity issues through data analysis and research.
