Allie Burnett

Allie Burnett is a conservation researcher and behavioral ecologist, dedicating her research to understanding how wildlife responds to changing environments. Her research is devoted to informing land and wildlife management decisions to minimize disturbance to wildlife behavior and increase resilience of wildlife populations. Her previous work has included research into the effects of human activity, landscape changes, and extreme weather on wildlife, studying a range of species from fruit flies to spotted hyenas. Burnett has recently joined the Lovejoy Center as a postdoctoral research associate working collaboratively with the Nature Conservancy. Her research with the Lovejoy Center focuses on mapping wildlife corridors to assess landscape connectivity through the Nature Conservancy’s land holdings in Arizona and determine whether further land protections are needed to improve wildlife movement.
